Governance, Records & Audit
The obligations that prove you are compliant — records, assessments, retention and audit integrity — kept current instead of rebuilt before each audit.
What it does
Most organisations can describe their compliance posture. Far fewer can evidence it on the day they are asked. The gap is usually that records live in spreadsheets that are accurate the week they are made and stale a month later.
dpflo derives records from the live system wherever it can. The RoPA is built from the actual inventory and processing activities rather than maintained by hand, so it reflects what is true today. DPIAs, retention schedules and vendor assessments are workflows with owners and review dates, not documents.
Underneath sits the audit layer: a log vault with integrity checking, so the evidence you present can be shown not to have been edited after the fact. For Significant Data Fiduciaries, who face additional duties including independent audit, that distinction matters.
Capabilities
Live RoPA
Records of processing derived from the real inventory and data flows, updated as systems change rather than before an audit.
DPIA workflows
Assessments with owners, risk scoring, mitigations and review dates — tracked to completion, not filed and forgotten.
Retention & data minimisation
Schedules per purpose and data category, with the erasure duty under s.8(7) enforced rather than documented.
Vendor and processor risk
A processor register with contract terms, assessments and the acknowledgement trail from consent withdrawals.
Log vault & audit integrity
Tamper-evident logging with integrity verification, so your evidence is demonstrably unedited.
Significant Data Fiduciary duties
The extra obligations under s.10 — DPO appointment, independent audit, periodic DPIA — tracked as a distinct programme.
Which duties this discharges
The obligations under the DPDP Act 2023 that this module is built to satisfy. The Act takes full effect on 13 May 2027.
- s.8(7)Erase personal data once the purpose is no longer served
- s.8(9)Publish contact details of the DPO or responsible person
- s.10Significant Data Fiduciary duties: DPO, audit, periodic DPIA
- s.8(3)Ensure processors operate under a valid contract
